Company History

HECS Laboratory Services (PTY) Ltd. was registered as a closed corporation in May 2007 by the Managing Director, Tinus Pretorius.

The laboratory started off by delivering Occupational Hygiene related analytical services to the mining industry according to Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 and industry according to the Occupational Health Safety Act 85 0f 1993.

SANAS accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025 was obtained in June 2009 for nine analytical methods. Our laboratory also provides a wide range of referred services to our clients by utilizing other SANAS Accredited Laboratories according to ISO/IEC 17025 for the specific analytical methods we are not accredited for.

HECS Laboratory Services (PTY) Ltd. is also registered with ILAC through SANAS as to expand service delivery across South African borders to International clients. Our main laboratory is situated in Bethal, Mpumalanga.
